Our Story

Philip Sims Trucking, LLC, was established by Philip Sims in 1984 with a van division. In the early 1990s, Philip transitioned from van to livestock transportation. He began hauling hogs for a locally based swine operation. Hauling hogs expanded Philip's trucks to the Midwest region and then expanded his operations even further out to the West Coast when he began hauling market hogs to Farmer John's in Vernon, CA. Our livestock division currently hauls cattle, hogs, sheep, and goats and operates West of the Mississippi River.

In the late 1990s Philip was looking to expand. He launched a specialized oversize, overweight hauling division with Removeable Goosenecks (RGNs) and Step Decks. The division took our trucks beyond the West Coast and Midwest regions to now operating in all 48 states and Canada.

The launch of the second division began with the transport of farm equipment for auction yards, local farmers and dealerships and quickly expanded beyond just agricultural needs. Today, the specialized division moves agricultural machinery, construction equipment, and any cargo that can be carried on open deck trailers.

Since our establishment in 1984, Philip Sims Trucking, LLC has been able to provide superior, reliable, and dedicated service in the transportation industry. Our company is compliant with all FMCSA Hours of Service, safety, and transportation regulations. We strive for low CSA scores. With all this experience and dedication to the industry, you can be assured we have your best interest in mind for your transportation needs.
